About StratoStar

StratoStar Systems was started in 2006 to be the “Gateway to Near-Space.” The concept for the company came after 5 years of exploring near-space with Taylor University. Dr. Hank Voss a professor at Taylor and Jeff Dailey Vice President of Engineering and R&D for a wireless technology company Scadata Scientific, helped the high-altitude balloon team from Taylor University launch payloads into near-space.

Through the 5 years of experience launching payloads into near-space, Dr. Hank Voss and Jeff Dailey realized the need for a company to provide access to near-space, in order to utilize the opportunities near-space has to offer. Dr. Hank Voss and Jeff Dailey asked Jason Krueger a entrepreneurial graduate of Taylor University to help start the company and StratoStar Systems was formed.
