11/12/09 - Space & Earth Workshop – “Mission to Near Space
The purpose of this NASA funded workshop is to expose Indiana Teachers to the use of high-altitude balloon launches as a new tool in Space & Earth classes. Teachers at the workshop will engage in hands-on-activities which can be used in their Space & Earth curriculum. Attendees of the Space & Earth workshop will experience lab activities, build a scientific payload, launch that payload on a high-altitude balloon to 100,000ft above the Earth and learn how to integrate high-altitude balloon launches into their curriculum.

04/04/08 - HALO II Project Launch
On April 4th 2009 Students at 15 Universities from Minneapolis, MN to Brooklyn, NY will be launching their science projects to the edge of space to collect data which will help scientists in their understanding of climate change and our planet.  These student projects will be launched as a part of the second High-Altitude Launch Opportunity (HALO), led by StratoStar Systems and Taylor University.

06/01/09 or 07/29/09 - NSF Funded High-Altitude Balloon Workshops
The purpose of this National Science Foundation funded workshop is to integrate high-altitude balloon launches into the classrooms and curricula of undergraduate science and engineering courses around the country. During the workshops, professors are given the opportunity to go step by step through the process of conducting a balloon launch: building payloads, launching the balloon, collecting live data, tracking the payloads, and giving presentations on their data. 06/15/09 - StratoStar & Taylor University Present A Paper at ASEE Conference
StratoStar and Taylor University will be presenting a paper on the preliminary results of a multi-University longitudinal study of the educational benefits of integrating a high-altitude balloon launches into undergraduate classrooms across the country.
